    The Start - June 2010

Well today we went bowling and I announced that I wanted to do something different for my 40th year and I came up with a charity cycle ride from John O’Groats to Lands End. I stupidly thought that it would be about 500 miles, so when I Googled it whilst waiting for my turn I was very surprised to see it was way further than that at about 950! Shocked was an understatement but not for one minute did I consider changing my mind.

Our day bowling was great and we discussed how I would do this and also how hard it would be. The next big question of course was who would I do it with? But a friend of mine came to mind straight away – Anthony Clarke.

    Hi :-)
My name is Sharon for those of you that don’t know me. I’m 40 years old and a very proud single Mum to my Son Thomas, who is nearly 14 :-)

I wanted to do something different as I hit the big 40 in February this year and in my world of wisdom came up with this …. the John O’Groats to Lands End Charity Ride. The Charity chosen is very close to my heart as a dear friend has just been diagnosed with Leukaemia ….   read more...

    Hello there.
I’m Anthony, the second half of this little expedition and I’d just like to state for the record… This was all Sharon’s idea, it’s her fault. She’s to blame!!! (and she deserves all the credit :-) )

I’ve have been know in the past to take part in one or two of these daft schemes. (but nothing this BIG!) so when Sharon had the idea who should she pick on?   read more...
